The recommendations this month are a little different than usual. In honor of the new year, we’re featuring some of the best sellers of the decade instead of our usual picks.

The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, & The Lost Symbol

Dan Brown has seen his share of the best seller lists in the past decade. His books have removed any doubt that this author deserves to be read! I think I have recommended each of these titles individually but if I haven’t, let me do so now. Read them! Especially Angels & Demons, it’s my favorite!

I hate to admit it but I haven’t read these. But they are on my list and I am assured of the quality of storytelling contained within by everyone I know who has read them.  Khaled Hosseini is well on his way to being a classic author.

I’m sure that you have all heard of Stephenie Meyer and this young adult series but if you haven’t read them...do it. Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish.

The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns

Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn

Need I say more? Even the short story collection found its way onto the best-seller list. J.K. Rowling’s books aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Harry Potter

I know I have recommended this title recently so I won’t dwell. But read it! Alice Sebold is amazing. Watch the movie and bring your ticket stub to the store to receive 20% off the book. It’s amazing...no question about it.

The Lovely Bones

If you saw the movie but skipped the book, now is the time to rectify that mistake. Sue Monk Kidd’s book deserves to be read!

The Secret Life of Bees

William P. Young’s book was recently chosen by the book club here at the store to read and discuss because it has been so widely acclaimed. If you haven’t read it, maybe it’s time to see what all the buzz is about.
